To check if fiber is available where you live, enter your address on this page.
✅ If fiber is available:
You can go ahead and order Sky Fiber, the process is quick and fully online.
❌ If fiber is not available:
1. Your area is not covered by FTTH (Fiber to the Home):
- Your building is in a zone not yet served by fiber network.
- In this case, Sky will contact you as soon as your address becomes eligible — just fill in the form during the ordering process.
2. Your area is covered, but your building is not connected:
- If you’re a tenant: contact your landlord or property manager — they must initiate the connection request.
- If you are the owner: Sky cannot initiate this step for you. You need to request a fiber connection for your building. This process may take several weeks, as it often involves permits and construction work.
Why isn’t fiber optic available, even though I already have Internet?
There may be several reasons why fiber optic is not yet available at your address, even if you're currently using the Internet (e.g., via a copper cable connection):
- Expansion zones: fiber rollout is often prioritized in certain areas. If your location isn’t part of those zones, it might take longer before fiber becomes available.
- Infrastructure limitations: deploying fiber optic requires significant construction and investment. In some areas, the existing infrastructure doesn't support a quick transition to fiber.
- Lack of demand: in some cases, fiber is only rolled out if enough households in the area express interest. If demand is low, the rollout may be delayed.
- Regulatory restrictions: you may already have fiber through another provider (e.g., Swisscom), but current regulatory issues may temporarily prevent Sky or other providers from offering service at your address.
