Yes, it’s possible — this is called an OTO extension.
An OTO extension is a special type of in-home installation requested by the property owner. It consists of installing a second fiber wall outlet or moving the existing one.
When is an OTO extension used?
Single-family house
In some houses, the central connection point (BPC) is set up as an “OTO at the BPC”. You can then plug your fiber cable directly in the basement… but it’s not practical.
The owner can therefore request the installation of an OTO outlet in a more convenient place, such as the living room. This work is carried out by the local installation partner.
Another location in the home
If you want to have a fiber outlet somewhere other than the original spot, the owner can request an OTO extension through the installation partner.
Who should you contact?
Sky Fiber can’t arrange this type of work.
👉 You need to contact your property owner so they can approve the request and coordinate directly with a certified technician.
Costs and responsibilities
No fees are charged by Sky Fiber: the transaction happens directly between the owner and the installation partner.
An already installed OTO extension is often identifiable by an OTO number ending in “X” (but not always).
Any future changes (for example switching the used ports) must be paid by the owner, because the extension belongs to the property, not to the network.
⚠ Please note: Sky Fiber cannot activate your internet unless the OTO socket is accessible and properly installed.
