Installation

1. Connect the ONT box

The plug number will be e-mailed to you upon activation.

⚠Warning: first remove the protective caps from the tips of the optical cable and of the ONT box.

👍Check fiber cable insertion
Make sure the fiber cable is firmly inserted into the OTO and ONT ports — you should hear a click. Don’t force it, but ensure it’s fully seated; a loose connection can prevent service.

Do not look directly into the plug outlet or wall socket.

 

2. Switch on the ONT box

Switch on the ONT box & wait until Power & PON LEDs turn green.

If after 15 min, those LEDs didn’t turn green, please contact Sky Helpline.

 

3. Connect the router and the ONT box

⚠ On Router TP Link, use "WAN/LAN" port
(not "LAN").

 

4. Plug in the router

Wait until the LED turns green. If it didn’t after 15 min, please contact Sky Helpline.

 

5. Connection to WiFi

  • On the bottom of the router, you can find a QR code, the name of the WiFi and the password.
  • Scan the QR code with the your mobile phone to connect to the WiFi.
  • Alternatively, search the WiFi name and manually enter the password to connect to the WiFi.
  • To customize the name of your network and the password, go to IP 192.168.88.1

 

 

 

 

Additional Access-Point Installation (optional)

How to set it up:
1. Identify the area of your house/apartment that suffers from bad WiFi coverage.
2. Install and plug in the additional Access Point to the power socket in that area.
3. On the main WLAN-Router, press the WPS button for 2 seconds until the LED is blinking blue. 4. Within 2 minutes, on the additional Access Point, also press the WPS button for 2 seconds until
the LED is blinking blue.
5. After 1-2 minutes the LED on the additional Access Point will switch to green, meaning it's
connected.
