When does this error appear?
You may see the error “Request failed with status code 500” when launching a Sky Sport stream on a Samsung Smart TV (Tizen OS).
Why does this happen?
This error is usually caused by an outdated session ID that is not refreshing properly on the app.
How to fix it
Try the following solutions:
Refresh the app session
While inside the Sky Sport app, long-press the Back button on your remote until the app closes.
Reopen the app and try launching the stream again.
Restart your Samsung TV
Unplug the TV from the power source.
Wait about 15 seconds.
Plug the TV back in, turn it on, and relaunch the Sky Sport app.
Tip: if the problem continues after these steps, make sure your Samsung TV software and the Sky Sport app are both up to date.
