Personalise your voicemail

The intuitive Sky Mobile voicemail is activated by default. Personalise it by recording a greeting message. Call 086 followed by your own number (example: 086 078 000 99 11).

 

How do I listen to my voicemail messages?

In Switzerland

With your mobile phone:

  • Call your own number and follow the instructions.

With another phone:

  • Call 086 followed by your phone number (e.g., 086 078 000 99 11).

  • During the welcome message, press *. You’ll be prompted to enter your password.

  • If you haven’t set one, or enter the wrong password 3 times, you’ll receive a new one by SMS.

  • Then follow the instructions.

From abroad

  • Call +4186 followed by your phone number (e.g., +4186 078 000 99 11).

  • During the welcome message, press *. Your password will be requested.

  • As above, if you haven’t set it or enter the wrong one 3 times, you’ll get a new one by SMS.

  • Then follow the instructions.

 

How do I deactivate my voicemail and reactivate it again?

You can temporarily disable your voicemail – for example, if you travel and want to avoid roaming costs – by tapping ##002# or ##004#on your smartphone, then pressing the call button.

Note: Callers won’t be able to leave messages during this time, but you’ll receive SMS notifications showing who called you.

To reactivate your voicemail, tap **004*086xxxxxxxxxx# on your smartphone, then press the call button.
(*Replace xxxxxxxxxx with your mobile number. For example, if your number is 078 123 45 67, tap:
**004*0860781234567#)

 

How do I reset my voicemail password if I have forgotten it?

Access your voicemail, then:

  1. Tap 3 (menu configuration)

  2. Tap 1 (change password)

  3. Follow the instructions

 

Do I need to set up my voicemail before I travel?

Your voicemail will work normally. When abroad, you may be charged for data usage when using your voicemail. 

 

How can I activate and deactivate Visual Voicemail, especially when I am abroad?

Visual Voicemail is available only for iPhone users. It notifies you by SMS when you receive a new voicemail, making management easier.

✅ This service is free in Switzerland.
🌍 Roaming data charges apply abroad: ~100 KB per minute (≈1 MB for 10 minutes).
🔁 We recommend temporarily deactivating voicemail when travelling.

To activate the service:

  • Send START VISUALSKY to 5155
    OR

  • Go to My Account → Subscriptions → Options and add Visual Voicemail

  • For configuration help, visit Apple’s support page.

Visual Voicemail can be deactivated at any time:

Deactivate Visual Voicemail:

  • Send STOP VISUALSKY to 5155
    OR

  • Tap ##002#  or ##004#  then press the call button

Reactivate Visual Voicemail:

  • Tap **004*086 y # (y = your mobile number)

In case of a problem or error:

If your Visual Voicemail is not working properly, you must:

  • First deactivate Visual Voicemail and then deactivate the voicemail.
  • Reactivate the voicemail.
  • Reactivate Visual Voicemail.
