Why do I have a jerky or choppy image on my LG TV when using the Sky streaming service?

If you're experiencing issues with a jerky or choppy image while streaming Sky on your LG TV, it might be due to certain default television settings that alter the frames per second of the stream.

 

How to fix jerky or choppy image on my LG TV:

To resolve this problem, we recommend to adjust the picture settings in your TV's menu. Follow the steps below to disable the automatic image enhancement settings on a LG TV.

 

Adjusting Picture Settings:

Please note: the exact names of menus and options may vary based on your LG TV model and software version.

  1. Turn on your TV and access the main menu using your TV remote ("Home" or "Settings" button).

  2. Select "All Settings".

  3. Look for the option related to image or display settings. The exact name may vary, but look for something like "Picture", "Display", or "Picture Options".

  4. Inside the picture menu:

    • Ensure that the "Picture Mode" is set to "Standard".

    • Select option "Picture Mode Settings" > "Picture Options" and put on Off for every configuration :

        • Noise Reduction, Off

        • MPEG Noise Reduction, Off

        • Real Cinema, Off

        • Motion Eye Care, Off

        • TruMotion, Off

  5. Save Changes (if applicable):

    • Be sure to save any changes you make to the picture settings if your TV requires you to do so. Some LG TVs automatically save changes, while others may require you to confirm and save.

    • Go back and click on option "Apply to all inputs"
