How do I complete my Apple TV account setup?

Article purpose: explain how Sky customers can link their Sky Show account to an Apple Account (set to Switzerland or Liechtenstein) and complete Apple TV access activation.

How do I complete my Apple TV account setup?

If you have a Sky Show Premium pass and launch Apple TV content from the Sky Show app or website, a message will appear asking you to link your Sky Show account to an Apple Account.

You can also find the option to link your Apple TV account in My Account under your Apple TV subscription information.

This message may appear:

• on the Sky Show website;
• in the Sky Show mobile app;
• in the Sky Show app on Smart TV.

To complete your access:

1. Open the Sky Show app or website.
2. Launch Apple TV content.
3. Click "Activate my account" or scan the QR code displayed on the screen.
4. You are redirected to Apple TV.
5. Sign in with your existing Apple Account or create a new Apple Account.
6. Follow Apple’s instructions to complete the activation.

Once the account is linked, you can watch the Apple TV content included with your Sky Show Premium pass. Some episodes can be played directly in the Sky Show app, but the full catalogue is available in the Apple TV app or on the Apple TV website.

Do I need an Apple device?

No. You can complete the activation from different devices.

I don’t have an Apple Account yet. What should I do?

You can create an Apple Account during the activation. Apple will ask you to enter the required information, such as your email address, password, country or region, date of birth, and phone number.

What should I do if I don’t have an active Sky Show Premium pass?

If you have a Sky Show Light or Standard pass, Sky invites you to upgrade to Sky Show Premium.

If you don’t have any active Sky Show pass, Sky invites you to subscribe to a Sky Show pass.

Do I need to link my Sky Show and Apple accounts every time I watch?

No. The accounts only need to be linked once.

After that, when you launch Apple TV content that needs to be watched in the Apple TV app or on the Apple TV website, Sky Show redirects you automatically to Apple TV, without asking you to link the accounts again.

What should I do if the activation does not work?

Check first that:

• your Sky Show Premium pass is active;
• you are using the link or QR code displayed in Sky Show;
• you complete the sign-in process on the Apple TV page or app;
• you then sign in with the same Apple Account in the Apple TV app.

If the QR code has expired, close the message in Sky Show, launch the Apple TV content again, then scan the new QR code.

Check your Apple Account country or region

Your Apple Account must be set to Switzerland or Liechtenstein to complete the activation.

If your Apple Account is set to another country or region, such as the United Kingdom or Germany, you cannot complete the setup. Change your Apple Account country or region to Switzerland or Liechtenstein, then start the activation again from Sky Show.
